Welcome back! Today we’re practicing two short replies that keep a conversation moving in a friendly way.
Level A2: In this lesson, you’ll practice saying 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì) when you like someone’s suggestion, and 完全同意 (Wánquán tóngyì) when you strongly agree. These are small phrases, but they work like social glue in Taiwan Mandarin—quick, warm, and very useful when making plans.
After this lesson you'll be able to:
Use 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì) to agree that someone’s suggestion is a good one.
Use 完全同意 (Wánquán tóngyì) to show strong, positive agreement.
At A2, respond more naturally in simple planning conversations.

Hear core phrases, repeat aloud.
好主意
Hǎo zhǔyì.
Good idea.
Meaning: 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì) means “Good idea.”
When to use: Use 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì) right after someone suggests something and you want to say the idea sounds good. Examples: 我們坐捷運吧。好主意。 (Wǒmen zuò jiéyùn ba. Hǎo zhǔyì.) “Let’s take the MRT. Good idea.” 週末去爬山?好主意。 (Zhōumò qù páshān? Hǎo zhǔyì.) “Go hiking this weekend? Good idea.”
Tip: Don’t say 好的主意 (hǎo de zhǔyì) as a quick response here. In conversation, just say 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì).
我們坐捷運吧。好主意。
Wǒmen zuò jiéyùn ba. Hǎo zhǔyì.
Let’s take the MRT. Good idea.
週末去爬山?好主意。
Zhōumò qù páshān? Hǎo zhǔyì.
Go hiking this weekend? Good idea.
完全同意
Wánquán tóngyì.
Absolutely.
Meaning: 完全同意 (Wánquán tóngyì) means “Absolutely” or “I completely agree.”
When to use: Use 完全同意 (Wánquán tóngyì) when you want to agree strongly with someone’s opinion or plan. Examples: 我覺得這家店不錯。完全同意。 (Wǒ juéde zhè jiā diàn búcuò. Wánquán tóngyì.) “I think this place is nice. Absolutely.” 明天早點出門比較好。完全同意。 (Míngtiān zǎo diǎn chūmén bǐjiào hǎo. Wánquán tóngyì.) “Leaving earlier tomorrow is better. Absolutely.”
Tip: 完全同意 (Wánquán tóngyì) is stronger than just 同意 (tóngyì). Use it when you really want to sound clearly on board.
