Traditional Chinese - Daily Habits

Lesson 35 of 152

A cozy morning desk scene with coffee, a notebook, and a phone showing Traditional Chinese habit phrases for a Taiwan Mandarin lesson about daily routines.

Goal: Talk about routines, timing, and tiny habit wins.

Free traditional Chinese lessons with Taiwan Mandarin audio and speaking practice.

Welcome back! Today we’re chatting about the little things people actually do every day: exercising, reading, scrolling less, and trying to sleep like a responsible human.

Level A2: In this lesson, you’ll practice phrases for habits—how often you do something, when you usually do it, what you do before something else, and what you recently started or stopped. These chunks help you sound natural when talking about routines in Taiwan Mandarin. Tiny habits, big speaking power.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Ask about someone’s usual routine time with 你通常什麼時候___? (Nǐ tōngcháng shénme shíhòu ___?)
  • Describe frequency and time spent on habits at A2 level.
  • Sequence routine actions using 我先___,然後再___。 (Wǒ xiān ___, ránhòu zài ___.)
  • Say you started, stopped, avoid, or do something whenever you can.
