Some days, Mandarin is for ordering lunch. Other days, it is for being someone’s tiny cheer squad.
Level A2: In this lesson, you’ll practice warm encouragement phrases for real moments—when a friend is tired, nervous, stuck, or almost finished. You’ll learn how to say “keep going,” “you can do it,” “I’m here for you,” and “I can help if you want” in natural Taiwan Mandarin. A little support goes a long way—especially when it comes with good tones.
After this lesson you'll be able to:
Encourage someone to continue with 繼續加油 (Jìxù jiāyóu) and 不要放棄 (Bú yào fàngqì).
Show confidence with 你可以的 (Nǐ kěyǐ de) and 我相信你做得到 (Wǒ xiāngxìn nǐ zuò dedào).
Praise effort and progress with 做得很好 (Zuò de hěn hǎo), 你做得很不錯 (Nǐ zuò de hěn búcuò), and 你有在進步 (Nǐ yǒu zài jìnbù).
Offer emotional or practical support with 我會陪著你 (Wǒ huì péi zhe nǐ) and 如果你需要,我可以幫忙 (Rúguǒ nǐ xūyào, wǒ kěyǐ bāngmáng).
