Traditional Chinese - Work Plans

Lesson 55 of 152

A bright Taiwan office scene with coworkers checking a schedule and laptop, introducing a Traditional Chinese Taiwan Mandarin lesson about work plans and responsibilities.

Goal: Talk about meetings, overtime, interviews, and who’s doing what.

Free traditional Chinese lessons with Taiwan Mandarin audio and speaking practice.

Work messages can be short, polite, and surprisingly powerful. Today you’ll learn phrases that help you sound clear without over-explaining.

Think of this as office-friendly Mandarin: a little scheduling, a little responsibility, and just enough Yak Yacker energy to survive the workday.

Level A2: In this lesson, you’ll practice practical work phrases for meeting times, leaving early, being absent, needing more time, sending files, asking who is responsible, talking about interviews, and overtime. These are the kinds of short messages you might say to a coworker or manager in Taiwan. Keep them handy—workdays move fast, but your Mandarin can still stay calm.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • State a workplace appointment time with 會議是 ___。 (Huìyì shì ___.)
  • Ask politely for permission with 我今天可以早點走嗎? (Wǒ jīntiān kěyǐ zǎo diǎn zǒu ma?)
  • Explain work schedule changes like absence, overtime, or a job interview.
  • Ask and answer who is responsible for a task using ___ 是誰負責的? (___ shì shéi fùzé de?) and 我負責 ___。 (Wǒ fùzé ___.)
A learner reviews Traditional Chinese work phrases on a phone while commuting in Taiwan, practicing Taiwan Mandarin for meetings, overtime, and interviews.
