Scene — a loud plan on the platform

At a busy MRT platform in Taipei, Yi-Jun and Maya are planning their Tainan trip. Yi-Jun speaks loudly to be heard over the station noise.

They settle on a meeting place and time, but a work message makes them reconsider the day. The fortune slip stays unexplained.

Yi-Jun and Maya plan a Tainan trip on a busy Taipei MRT platform, with a small folded fortune slip peeking from Maya’s bag.

Learn — making and confirming plans

These lines help you agree on where and when to meet, check that the plan works, and confirm the details.

If plans change, you can suggest another day or say that you will let your friend know later.

  1. Yi-Jun loudly proposes meeting at the MRT station while Maya listens beside him on the busy platform.

    我們約在捷運站吧

Let's meet at the MRT station.

When to use it: Suggest the MRT station as a meeting place.

吧 softens a suggestion and invites the other person to agree.

  2. Maya tells Yi-Jun she will arrive at seven while he leans in to listen.

    我七點會到

    I'll be there at seven.

When to use it: Tell someone what time you expect to arrive.

會 points to an expected future arrival.

  3. Yi-Jun reacts as Maya asks whether the meeting plan seems okay, then nods that it works.

    你覺得可以嗎?

Does that seem okay to you?

When to use it: Check whether someone agrees with your suggestion.

    嗎 turns this into a yes-or-no question.

Say it: 得 is a light, neutral syllable in this phrase.

  4. Maya and Yi-Jun sit on a platform bench and agree that the meeting plan is settled.

    那就這麼說定了

    Then it's settled.

When to use it: Confirm that both people have agreed on the plan.

說定 means that you have agreed on the details.

  5. Maya suggests another day after Yi-Jun checks a work message, while a folded fortune slip stays unexplained by her bag.

    那改天吧

    Then another day.

When to use it: Suggest postponing when the planned day does not work.

改天 suggests a later day without naming one.

  6. Maya holds her phone and says she will let Yi-Jun know, after he asks her to check her schedule.

    我再跟你說

    I'll let you know.

When to use it: Say you will share an update later.

再 means that you will do this at a later time.
