Project updates in Traditional Chinese
Zhi-Ming wants a short update on the design project. Yesterday's meeting ran long, and three items were still waiting. Today he asks where things stand.
Give a status in order: how far along you are, what is done, what is still in progress, and what is blocked. Then add the expected delivery day.
You will also hear how to offer help at any time, a line you can reuse with any teammate.

Scene — a status check
At the co-working space two MRT stops from Banyan Lane, Maya sits with Zhi-Ming after yesterday's long meeting. He wants a clear status, not a speech.
The design work is mostly done, but one reply from the client is still missing. A-Li is not in this meeting, and the fortune slip stays in the till.
Learn — done, in progress, blocked
These six lines give a short project update: done, still in progress, and blocked. Listen, then say each one out loud.
Notice 了 for a finished step, and 中 when the work is still happening.
目前進度是八成
We're about eighty percent done.
When to use it: Open a status update with how far the work has come.
八成 is an everyday way to say about eighty percent.
設計稿已經完成了
The design draft is finished.
When to use it: Use this when the design draft is done.
了 marks this step as finished, not just tried before.
我還在修改中
I'm still revising.
When to use it: Say this when you are still revising.
中 after the verb means the action is still happening.
卡在客戶的回覆
Stuck waiting on the client's reply.
When to use it: Use this when you cannot continue without a reply.
卡在 plus a noun names what is stopping the work.
Say it: The first syllable is a dipping tone when it means stuck.
預計禮拜五交
Expected to deliver Friday.
When to use it: Give the day you expect to hand the work in.
禮拜五 is the usual Taiwan word for Friday.
有需要的話隨時跟我說
Tell me anytime if you need anything.
When to use it: Offer help that a teammate can take up at any time.
的話 sets a condition: if they need something.
Story — Zhi-Ming wants an update
Listen to Maya's update for Zhi-Ming. He asks how the project is going after the long meeting.
She answers in order: progress, what is done, what is still open, and what is blocked.
- The next day, Zhi-Ming asks Maya for a short status.
Zhi-Ming瑪雅，這個案子還順利嗎？Maya, is this project going all right?
Maya目前進度是八成。We're about eighty percent done.- Zhi-Ming設計稿呢？What about the design draft?
- Maya設計稿已經完成了。The design draft is finished.
- Zhi-Ming那你現在在做什麼？So what are you working on now?
- Maya我還在修改中。I'm still revising.
- Zhi-Ming還差什麼？What's still missing?
- Maya卡在客戶的回覆。Stuck waiting on the client's reply.
- Zhi-Ming那什麼時候可以交？So when can you deliver?
- Maya預計禮拜五交。Expected to deliver Friday.
- Zhi-Ming好，這個我負責。Okay, I'm in charge of this.
- Maya謝謝。Thanks.
- Zhi-Ming有需要的話隨時跟我說。Tell me anytime if you need anything.
- Maya好喔。Okay.
