Learn — left, seen, and found
These six chunks help you explain a missing object's last known place and appearance.
You'll also ask people to watch for it and tell you when you've found it.

I left ___ in ___
When to use it: Use this to say where you left an object.
Dejé means I left; learn the whole chunk with the object and place.
Say it: Dejé sounds like deh-HEH.

¿Lo han visto?
Have you seen it?
When to use it: Ask several people whether they have seen the missing object.
Lo means it, and han visto means have seen.
Say it: Visto sounds like BEES-toh.

Es de color ___
It's ___
When to use it: Use this to describe an object's color.
Say de color before the color when describing the object.
Say it: Color is koh-LOR, with stress on the final syllable.

Si aparece, avísame
If it turns up, let me know
When to use it: Ask someone to tell you if the missing object appears.
Avísame means let me know; the accent marks the stressed syllable.
Say it: Avísame sounds like ah-BEE-sah-meh.

Creo que lo olvidé en ___
I think I forgot it in ___
When to use it: Use this when you are guessing where you forgot something.
Olvidé means I forgot, with stress on the final syllable.
Say it: Olvidé sounds like ol-bee-DEH.

Ya lo tengo
I've got it now
When to use it: Say this when you have found or recovered the missing object.
Ya means now or already, so this announces a change.
Say it: Tengo sounds like TEN-goh.
Story — a bag at the café
At the café, Justin explains where he left his bag and asks Michael to watch for it.
