Ready to talk about work? In this short lesson we'll practice common ways to ask and answer about jobs and schedules. Have fun — imagine you're chatting with a coworker at a café.

Level A2: In this lesson you'll learn useful workplace phrases like how to ask “What do you do?”, say your job and where you work, explain start and finish times, and ask for help. You'll hear the chunks in a short dialogue, practice with quizzes and matching, and then say each phrase out loud. CEFR-aligned practice to make work conversations feel easier.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Ask and answer about someone's job and workplace (Level A2).
  • Say your job, field, work schedule, and day off.
  • Request help at work and say you are on break.
  • Practice speaking each phrase aloud to build confidence.
Two colleagues meet in a café and start a short conversation about jobs, start times, and asking for help.
