Welcome — ready to shop? This short lesson helps you say useful phrases when trying on clothes in Latin America. Practice listening, repeating, and using these exact lines in a real store.
Level A1: In this lesson you'll learn and practice common shopping phrases for clothes and shoes used across Latin America. We'll focus on asking for other sizes and colors, trying things on, saying if something fits or not, and friendly store responses like “Solo estoy viendo” and “Ahorita regreso.” This CEFR-aligned set is small and practical — perfect for a quick shopping trip.
After this lesson you'll be able to:
Ask if an item comes in another size or another color (A1).
Say if something is too big, too small, or fits perfectly.
Use polite phrases to ask to try items on and to tell staff you’re just looking or will return soon.
Ready? Let's go!

The shoe is too small on me; it hurts my foot.
Probé el vestido y me queda chico en la cintura.

When to use: Say this if you step away from the counter or want to return shortly; in Mexico 'ahorita' can mean soon and isn't always immediate.
