One last coffee in Spanish
At the same corner where everything began, Michael opens the tin and Yako empties his coat. The coffee is nearly gone, but the conversation still has a little room.
You'll thank them, say what you're choosing to do next, and leave the door open without making a grand announcement.
These are closing chunks: warm, flexible, and natural for an ordinary goodbye.
By the end of this lesson
Thank people, say what you'll do next, and leave the door open.
- Gracias por todoThank you for all of it
- Aquí me quedoI'm staying
- Nos vemos por aquíI'll see you around
- Cuéntamelo cuando quierasTell me whenever you want
- Ya es horaIt's time
- Me dio mucho gustoIt really was good
Scene — the same corner
It is the same corner at Café Laurel as on day one. Michael has the old tin in his hands, Yako is balanced on two chairs, and Justin is still at the table.
The coffee is almost finished, the coat is ready to be emptied, and no one is preparing a speech.

Learn — closing the conversation
These six chunks help you close a meaningful conversation without making it sound final or overly dramatic.
Notice how gratitude, staying, future contact, and time all fit together.

Gracias por todo
Thank you for all of it
When to use it: Use this to thank someone for everything they have done or shared over a period of time.
Por todo is broader and more heartfelt than thanking someone for one particular favor; it can still sound casual with the right tone.
Say it: Stress GRAH-syahs and TOD-oh; keep the final vowels clear.

Aquí me quedo
I'm staying
When to use it: Say this when you are deciding to remain where you are instead of leaving or going somewhere else.
In this context, it calmly signals Justin's choice to stay; it does not announce a permanent life decision.

Nos vemos por aquí
I'll see you around
When to use it: Use this for a friendly open-ended goodbye when you expect your paths may cross again.
Por aquí keeps the meeting place or neighborhood in view, so it sounds less scheduled than nos vemos mañana.

Cuéntamelo cuando quieras
Tell me whenever you want
When to use it: Say this when you invite someone to tell you the rest whenever they feel ready.
Cuéntamelo means tell it to me; the command is warm and familiar, using tú rather than a formal command.

Ya es hora
It's time
When to use it: Use this to acknowledge that it is time to move on, leave, or finish what you are doing.
Without more detail, the phrase stays deliberately open; the situation and tone show whether it means leaving or simply changing activities.

Me dio mucho gusto
It really was good
When to use it: Use this to say that an encounter or experience genuinely pleased you, often as a warm closing remark.
Literally, it gave me much pleasure; Mexican Spanish commonly uses it for a sincere but not necessarily dramatic expression of appreciation.
Story — one last cup
Watch how the last coffee ends without turning into a speech. Justin stays, Yako finishes the cup, and the final goodbye leaves the door open.
The highlighted chunks are the six lines from this lesson.
- The same corner is quieter now, with the afternoon light across the table.

Practice — leave the door open
The practice moves from recognition to choice, then asks you to build and use the chunks in context.
Listen for the difference between a firm goodbye and an open-ended see-you.
