Level A1: In this CEFR-aligned mini-lesson (153) you'll learn three everyday Spanish phrases about memory: how to say “I won’t forget,” “I forgot,” and how to ask someone to remind you. You'll hear the phrases, see them in a short dialogue, and practice with quick quizzes and speaking prompts.

1. Reading + Listening Practice

Hear core phrases, repeat aloud.

No se me olvida.

I won’t forget.

Meaning: I won’t forget.

When to use: Use to reassure someone you will remember a task, date, or promise.

Tip: Don’t drop the reflexive 'se' — learners sometimes say 'No me olvida' but native phrasing is 'No se me olvida.'

No se me olvida tu cumpleaños.
I won't forget your birthday.
No se me olvida traer el libro mañana.
I won't forget to bring the book tomorrow.

Se me olvidó.

I forgot.

Meaning: I forgot.

When to use: Use to admit you forgot something in a natural, modest way.

Se me olvidó la cita con el doctor.
I forgot the doctor's appointment.
Lo siento, se me olvidó llamar.
Sorry, I forgot to call.

Recuérdame ___.

Remind me to ___.

Meaning: Remind me to ___.

When to use: Use this to ask someone to prompt you about a specific action or time; add the action after the blank.

Tip: Remember to include the action after the phrase: 'Recuérdame ___.' Leaving the blank out makes it unclear.

Recuérdame pagar la renta el viernes.
Remind me to pay the rent on Friday.
Recuérdame comprar leche.
Remind me to buy milk.

2. Conversational Listening Practice

Hear phrases in a real mini-conversation.
