Welcome! In this short lesson you'll practice saying and responding to opinions — useful in meetings, chats, and decisions. Listen, repeat, and try the short activities to make these phrases your own.

When to use: Say this when you want to show clear support for an idea, proposal, or decision.

Meaning: I'm against ___.

When to use: Use this neutral, direct phrase to show opposition to a choice, plan, or policy.

Tip: No confundir con “no estoy de acuerdo”: eso es más general; “estoy en contra de” suena más directo.

Estoy en contra de recortar el presupuesto.
I'm against cutting the budget.

When to use: Use this neutral question to ask someone's opinion about a person, plan, or idea.
