Nice work being here — this lesson helps you sound warm and present when someone needs to talk. Short and friendly: listen, comfort, and offer a little hope.
Level B1: In Lesson 93 you'll practice three natural empathy phrases: 你说吧,我在听 (Nǐ shuō ba, wǒ zài tīng) to invite someone to continue, 这不是你的错 (Zhè bú shì nǐ de cuò) to reassure, and 我真希望能让你轻松一点 (Wǒ zhēn xīwàng néng ràng nǐ qīngsōng yìdiǎn) to express caring regret. You'll hear them in a short conversation, repeat them aloud, and use quizzes and matching to lock in meaning.
After this lesson you'll be able to:
Practice three empathetic response frames to listen and comfort (B1).
Recognize when to say 你说吧,我在听 (Nǐ shuō ba, wǒ zài tīng) to encourage someone to continue.
Use 这不是你的错 (Zhè bú shì nǐ de cuò) to reassure someone who feels guilty.
Say 我真希望能让你轻松一点 (Wǒ zhēn xīwàng néng ràng nǐ qīngsōng yìdiǎn) to show sympathetic regret and offer support.

1. Reading + Listening Practice
Hear core phrases, repeat aloud.
你说吧,我在听。
Nǐ shuō ba, wǒ zài tīng.
I'm listening.
Meaning: I'm listening.
When to use: Use this to invite someone to continue — it's encouraging and shows you're present.
Tip: Beginners sometimes say only “我在听” which is okay but less inviting than the full phrase.
