Free Simplified Chinese lessons with guided practice, audio, and speaking support.

Welcome to Lesson 67 — time to look back and tell a good story. This lesson is short, practical, and a little reflective: you'll listen, repeat, and then practice speaking about past experiences.

Level B1: In this lesson you'll work on phrases for describing past situations, realizations, results and reflections — phrases like 那时候,我 (Nà shíhou, wǒ ...), 我当时没意识到 (Wǒ dāngshí méi yìshí dào ...), and 现在回头看,我觉得 (Xiànzài huítóu kàn, wǒ juéde ...). Lesson 67 focuses on natural ways to explain what happened, how long you spent, how plans changed, and how you feel about it now (CEFR-aligned).

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Practice using B1-level frames to set background: 那时候,我 (Nà shíhou, wǒ ...).
  • Be able to explain delayed understanding with 我当时没意识到 (Wǒ dāngshí méi yìshí dào ...).
  • Describe outcomes and reflections with 结果发现是 (Jiéguǒ fāxiàn shì ...) and 现在回头看,我觉得 (Xiànzài huítóu kàn, wǒ juéde ...).
  • Ask about feelings and talk about time spent using ___的时候,你感觉怎么样? (___ de shíhou, nǐ gǎnjué zěnme yàng?) and 我花了___做___ (Wǒ huā le ___ zuò ___).
