Level A2: In this short lesson you’ll learn two everyday agreement phrases: 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì) — “Good idea.” and 当然 (Dāngrán) — “Absolutely.” We’ll practice hearing them, using them in a short conversation, and saying them out loud so they feel natural in chats. (CEFR-aligned vocabulary, focused and practical.)

When to use: Use 好主意 (Hǎo zhǔyì) as a short, friendly reply when someone suggests a plan or idea you like.

Tip: Don't confuse 好主意 with 好意思 (hǎo yìsi), which means 'to feel embarrassed' or 'it's okay' — different meaning.

我们去附近的咖啡店看书吧。——好主意。

Wǒmen qù fùjìn de kāfēidiàn kànshū ba. — Hǎo zhǔyì.

Let's go to the nearby café to read. — Good idea.

你先发邮件，我来准备材料。——好主意，谢谢。

Nǐ xiān fā yóujiàn, wǒ lái zhǔnbèi cáiliào. — Hǎo zhǔyì, xièxie.

Meaning: Absolutely.

When to use: Use 当然 (Dāngrán) for strong, positive agreement or quick permission in casual and neutral situations.

Tip: If someone asks for permission, you can also say 当然可以 (Dāngrán kěyǐ) — 当然 alone is fine in casual replies but add 可以 for extra clarity.

A: 我可以坐这里吗？B: 当然。

A: Wǒ kěyǐ zuò zhèlǐ ma? B: Dāngrán.

A: Can I sit here? B: Absolutely.

要我帮忙整理资料吗？当然，我来做。

Yào wǒ bāngmáng zhěnglǐ zīliào ma? Dāngrán, wǒ lái zuò.

Do you want me to help organize the materials? Absolutely, I'll do it.
