Goal: Talking about what you like and why

Free Simplified Chinese lessons with guided practice, audio, and speaking support.

Hi — ready to chat about what lights you up? In this B1 lesson we'll focus on natural ways to say what you're into and ask others about their interests. Practice saying the phrases aloud, listen to a short conversation, then try the quizzes and speaking prompts.

Level B1: In this lesson you'll practice useful phrases to talk about interests (我对___感兴趣。, 我最近特别喜欢___。, 我花很多时间___。, etc.). These are great for casual conversations and deeper chats about hobbies, study topics, or things you’re curious about. The lesson is CEFR-aligned and focused on real spoken Chinese — Yak Yacker style, but about your passions.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Use phrases to say what you’re interested in and why (e.g. 我对___感兴趣。, 我喜欢___,因为它能帮我___.).
  • Ask about someone’s current interests and how they started (e.g. 你最近对什么感兴趣?, 你是怎么对___感兴趣的?).
  • Practice saying these lines out loud and explain how much time you spend on an interest (e.g. 我花很多时间___.).
