Welcome back! This short lesson helps you leave conversations smoothly using friendly, natural phrases. Practice by listening, repeating, and speaking aloud—quick and practical.

Level A1: In this lesson you'll learn common ways to say goodbye in Simplified Chinese (简体中文, jiǎn tǐ zhōng wén) — everything from polite 再见 (zài jiàn) to casual 拜拜 (bái bái). We'll practice listening, repeating, and using these phrases in a short dialogue so you can leave conversations confidently.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Recognize and say basic goodbyes like 再见 (zài jiàn) and 拜拜 (bái bái).
  • Use time-based farewells such as 明天见 (míng tiān jiàn) and 回头见 (huí tóu jiàn).
  • Politely close conversations with phrases like 保重 (bǎo zhòng) and 跟你聊天很开心 (gēn nǐ liáo tiān hěn kāi xīn).
  • Level A1 practice: listen, repeat, and speak each phrase aloud.
