Welcome! In this B1 lesson we'll dig into useful ways to ask why something happened and to give clear reasons. Short, practical, and friendly — you'll hear, practice, and then say these phrases aloud.
Level B1: In this lesson you’ll practice asking for reasons (past and present), giving explanations, and talking about decisions — all with natural Chinese frames like 你为什么___了? and 我这么做是因为___. This CEFR-aligned lesson focuses on real conversational use so you can ask why, explain choices, and respond with confidence.
After this lesson you'll be able to:
Recognize and use common question frames to ask why something happened (e.g. 你为什么___了?, 怎么会___?).
Explain reasons and decisions with phrases like 我这么做是因为___。 and 主要原因是___。
Manage polite requests for explanations and discuss decisions (e.g. 你能解释一下为什么___吗?, 你是因为什么决定___的?).
Practice speaking each phrase aloud to build natural rhythm and confidence (Level B1).
Ready? Let's go!
