Welcome back! This short lesson helps you sound like a supportive friend in Mandarin. You'll hear, repeat, and then use four handy reaction phrases in real conversational situations.

Level A2: In this lesson you'll practice four common spoken reactions: empathy, a strong negative reaction, acknowledging useful info, and showing interest. These phrases are perfect for everyday chats when someone shares good or bad news. Quick, practical, and CEFR-aligned — let's make your responses feel natural.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Recognize and understand four natural reaction phrases in spoken Mandarin (A2).
  • Use those phrases to show empathy, shock, interest, or that information is useful.
  • Practice the phrases in a short conversation and quick quizzes so you can reply smoothly in real life.
