Level A2: In this lesson you will practice nine handy German phrases to talk about hobbies: saying you are a beginner, saying you are improving, describing how long or how often you do something, asking if someone is interested, and giving simple opinions. This CEFR-aligned practice helps you listen, repeat, and use these frames in short conversations.

When to use: Use this to say your ability is improving with a hobby or subject (Tennis, Deutsch, Fotografie).

Tip: Don't forget you can also say activities with 'beim' + Dativ (e.g., beim Kochen).

When to use: Use this to say how long you spend on an activity like Yoga, Lesen, Musik.

When to use: Ask this when you want to know if someone likes or has interest in a hobby area (informal with 'du').

When to use: Use this to explain that you do a hobby only occasionally or when time permits.
