When to use: Use this frame to say a specific activity you enjoy in your free time. Put a conjugated verb or noun phrase after ich, for example Ich lese gern or Ich spiele Fußball gern.
Tip: Beginners sometimes forget to conjugate the verb (Ich lese, not Ich lesen).

When to use: Ask this informal question to someone you know (uses du). In formal situations use Haben Sie Ihre Hobbys or Was sind Ihre Hobbys?.

When to use: Use this to say what you normally do at the weekend. Place a conjugated verb phrase after ich, e.g. Ich gehe spazieren am Wochenende meistens.

When to use: Use this to admit limited skill while showing you still enjoy an activity. For verbs, German often uses a nominalized form (im + Verb) or a noun with a preposition.

When to use: Use this polite invitation to ask someone to do an activity together. Put the infinitive or verb phrase at the end: Möchtest du mit mir spazieren gehen?

When to use: Say this to express interest in a hobby or topic. Use für + accusative: Ich interessiere mich für Fotografie.
Tip: Remember: interest takes für + accusative (nicht 'für dem').
