Free German lessons with guided practice, audio, and speaking support.

Welcome — let’s talk about home! This lesson is short and practical: learn useful sentences to describe where you live, ask about rent, and say if you need a new place. Keep it simple, repeat aloud, and choose the phrases that match your situation.

Level A2: In this lesson you'll practice everyday housing phrases — say you have your own room, complain about space, ask how much rent is, describe your neighborhood, and say you're looking for a new apartment. CEFR-aligned and focused on real small-talk at home — handy for chat with neighbors or a landlord.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Be able to say whether you have a private room and how much space you have.
  • Ask and answer questions about monthly rent (A2 level).
  • Describe your neighborhood and what your building has, and say if you are looking for a new apartment.
