1.1) Quick Nerdy Note: “Magic” Isn’t Just One Word
In subtitles and books you’ll see 魔法 (mófǎ) for “magic” in general, but specific actions often use other words: 咒語 for a spell you say, 附魔 for enchanting an item, and 召喚 for summoning. Translation isn’t “one word fits all” — it’s more like “pick the flavor of magic you’re dealing with.”
