Swap 這件 for 這條 / 這雙 depending on the item.

In English you “wear” everything. In Chinese, the verb changes a bit: 穿 for clothing (shirts, pants), for things on your head/face/hands (hats, glasses, gloves), and for ties (領帶). Also, you’ll count items with classifiers like 一件 (tops/coats), 一條 (pants/skirts), and 一雙 (shoes/socks).
