Welcome back — nice to see you at Lesson 7! This short lesson focuses on quick, polite ways to ask for help when you don't understand. Practice by listening, repeating, and then using the phrases aloud.
Level A1: In this lesson you'll learn polite clarification phrases like わかりません (wakarimasen) and もう一度言ってもらえますか (mō ichido itte moraemasu ka). You'll practice asking someone to repeat, slow down, write things down, and check word meanings — all in polite spoken Japanese. This lesson is CEFR-aligned and focused on everyday survival communication.
After this lesson you'll be able to:
Recognize and say common polite clarification phrases (A1).
Ask someone to repeat, speak more slowly, or write information.
Check the meaning of words and ask how to say something in English.
Ready? Let's go!
