Free French lessons with guided practice, audio, and speaking support.

Ready to talk about skills and what you can (or can't) do? This lesson is short, useful, and a little encouraging—perfect for practicing out loud.

Level A2: In Lesson 70 you'll practice common phrases to say what you can do, what you can't do, and how easy or hard things are for you. We'll focus on phrases like "Je sais...", "Je peux... un peu", "Je suis doué(e) pour...", and questions like "Tu sais...?" so you can ask and answer about abilities in everyday conversation.

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Understand and use basic phrases to state ability and lack of ability.
  • Ask and answer simple questions about skills (Tu sais...? / Tu peux... tout seul ?).
  • Practice saying 'it's easy' and 'it's hard for me' (C'est facile pour moi de..., J'ai du mal à...).
  • Level A2: build confidence speaking about your strengths and weaknesses.
Two friends talking about skills and help: a casual French A2 conversation about what they can and can't do.
