Welcome back — Lesson 41! Ready to make your explanations clearer with natural example phrases? This short lesson helps you give, compare, and ask for examples in polite spoken Japanese.

Level B1: In this lesson you'll practice common ways to introduce examples, hypothetical situations, and typical cases (たとえば…, もし…, 〜の例を教えて…). We'll listen, repeat, and use these phrases in a short conversation so you can explain ideas more clearly in discussion. (CEFR-aligned)

After this lesson you'll be able to:

  • Learn polite phrases to introduce examples and hypotheticals (e.g. たとえば…, もし…としたら…).
  • Practice saying when and where something commonly happens (e.g. 〜でよく起こります/〜ときに見られます).
  • Ask for and give examples politely (e.g. ___の例を教えてもらえますか).
  • Level B1: use these frames to make arguments or clarify points in conversation.
